Welcome to the ROC/CTEC Business Pathway

Did you know that more college Business degrees are awarded each year than the next two most popular majors combined? With so many students gravitating toward business (not to mention those who bypass college and immediately enter the workforce), it only makes sense to get a headstart on your business education while still in high school.

That is where ROC/CTEC has you covered. We offer a full array of business programs, many of which offer college credit at no additional cost and/or real-world internships within the local business community. Click on the links below to explore our many opportunities.

ready for business

Applications for the following school year are open to incoming Juniors and Seniors from November to early March (monitor our website for actual dates). Our Evening program application period opens up in early May for the following school year and also accepts adult applications for a fee.

shirtWear Your Excellence

Our daytime Business Pathway programs housed at ROC have joined forces to brand our programs and show campus pride in our future occupations. The "I Am Business Excellence" t-shirts are not only a fun way to tie students from various business programs together, but they also serve as a source of personal pride as students are periodically awarded "stars" on the back of their shirt upon completing tasks that signify business excellence.

But Wait, There's More!  Our Entrepreneurship Resource Center Workshops ...

While the above programs all offer 15 units per semester credit toward your high school education, we also have a non-credit extracurricular activity for students wanting to erc logoknow more about the entrepreneurial mindset and perhaps even starting their own business someday. These evening workshops typically run 8-12 weeks one night a week at both of our campuses and are open to 7th to 12th graders. For details, visit the Entrepreneurship Resource Center's website at https://erc.kernhigh.org/

The Entrepreneurship Resource Center also operates an Ideation Lab at both campuses. Open to all ROC/CTEC students, this is a great place to start designing and prototyping your minimum viable product.
