Valentine's Day was made a little brighter this year for the patients at the Rehabilitation Center of Bakersfield courtesy of ROC's Nursing Assistant program.

Led by each program's Class Ambassador and a new "I Can..." marketing campaign, ROC hosted upwards of 1200 current high school sophomores and juniors over a two-day period. These students were exploring all that ROC has to offer with hopes of actually being selected to attend next school year.

Ground-breaking for the second ROC facility will soon be upon us. Great things are happening at ROC and The Bakersfield Californian was eager for an update. Check out their article.

KBAK-TV 29's series on ROC programs continues with a segment featuring both our Veterinary Technician and Plant Production classes. If Kern County is all about Ag, then ROC is all about getting a foot in that door!

Students in the ROC Administrative Assistant program are selling classy looking ROC Class of 2018 t-shirts for only $15 each. Shirts are available in both navy and white as well as both men's and women's cuts. Go to room 213 if you still need to order.

ROC was pleased to host local business leaders and dignitaries at our annual Principal Partner's Day open house event. In addition to learning of our expansion plans, visitors were able to visit students in seven of our 30 programs.

The fashion industry can be hectic, so when someone choses to be in fashion he or she has to expect things to come out of nowhere. Well, this happened to me and it was an amazing experience – thanks to my ROC Fashion Merchandising instructor, Ms. Martinez, I had the opportunity to work with LA Stylist Laurie Brucker.
