ROC is growing, and that means NEW and EXCITING opportunities for high school juniors, seniors, and adults. We've opened up select classes for next school year, plus have added evening classes.

ROC has awarded two Student Ambassadors the Advisors Choice Award for being outstanding Student Ambassadors and leaders to their peers.

Six ROC students have been awarded scholarships to aid them in continuing their education in their chosen industry. Out of 75 applicants, these students were chosen for their outstanding grades, great attendance, and their school and community involvement.

Once a month, a local teacher receives a one thousand dollar check for their classroom provided by MOR Furniture for Less. This month's winner is Lisa Krch. She once was our morning and afternoon anchor at Eyewitness News. Lisa now teaches the Video Production and Advanced Film and Cinema class at the Regional Occupational Center.

Kern High School District (KHSD) students returned triumphantly from the 4-day SkillsUSA California State Conference and Skills Competition held recently in Ontario. Our campus was named a SkillsUSA Chapter of Distinction, but that was only the beginning.
