About the Programs
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of medical assisting, providing them with a basic understanding of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and administrative tasks performed by medical assistants. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and community classroom in the form of internship students will develop the skills necessary to obtain an entry level position as a clinical medical assistant. Upon successful completion of the course, students meet the graduation criteria for 5 units of Biological Science and 5 units of Health every semester
