Host Houchin Blood Drive to Support Community Health

Over the past week, ROC and CTEC proudly hosted the Houchin Blood Drive, bringing together students and staff in a meaningful effort to support community health and save lives. The campus community showed incredible participation, with each donation having the potential to make a real difference for individuals and families in need.

Students involved in SkillsUSA played an important role in the success of the blood drive by using the event as a community service opportunity. Through volunteering and assisting with event coordination, SkillsUSA members demonstrated leadership, responsibility, and a commitment to giving back to the community.

The Digital Marketing and Media Design program also contributed by providing professional event coverage. Students captured photos, video, and behind-the-scenes content to document the blood drive, helping highlight the impact of the event and the importance of community involvement. This hands-on experience allowed students to apply their creative and technical skills in a real-world setting while supporting a meaningful cause.

ROC and CTEC extend a heartfelt thank you to Houchin Community Blood Bank for partnering with the campus, as well as to all the students and staff who donated, volunteered, and supported the event. The compassion, teamwork, and dedication shown throughout the blood drive reflect the strong sense of community and service at ROC and CTEC.
