Vladimir M. (West High), Requan F. (BHS), and Luis R. (BHS) are all enrolled in ROC's Auto Body program taught by Mr. Jose Cruz. They were selected to form a team that would then go up against other students from throughout Central California, with the winner proceeding to the statewide competition.
Vladimir called it a "challenging competition", while Luis commented that his time spent in SkillsUSA demonstrated to him "how fun doing (something) you love can be" and that he appreciated how the contest allowed him "to show how good (he is) compared to others." Requan added that "my experience with SkkillsUSA was very challenging, but I still had fun and I learned some new things." He went on to commend the competition, saying "the other contestants were very kind and talented. I'm glad I got the chance to compete (against them)."
