Things to Consider
Dress Code: Welders must wear oil-free, flame-resistant, and non-melting protective apparel, including long-sleeve shirts, pants, and welding caps. Approved attire includes long sleeve shirts, aprons, coats, jackets, and coveralls. Clothing with cuffs or open pockets should be avoided as they can trap molten metal or sparks.
Protective Equipment: Welding hoods must meet ANSI standards for eye and face protection. Leather work boots (preferably slip-on) are recommended, though steel-toe boots are not required. Safety glasses, welding gloves, hearing protection, and other PPE will be provided.
