Next Year's Students Prepare for ROC Experience

For those who have gained admittance, congratulations! Here are a few things you can do to prepare for your ultimate success:

(1) Attend our Open House Welcome on Monday, May 14. Although this activity is optional, it is highly recommended. It is a chance for you and your family to see the campus, meet our principal and your teacher, and visit your new classroom. Your ROC teacher will give you more information on your program as well as let you know his or her expectations for the coming year. Sessions will be held at 5:30pm and again at 6:15pm.

(2) Plan on attending Day One: Wednesday, August 15, 2018. As we are preparing you for the world of work, we take attendance very seriously. That means you need to be ready to go on the first day. If you have schedule concerns with your home school, let the ROC Dean know so we can assist you in your ultimate success.

(3) Learn more about ROC and your class. We encourage you to explore our website. Be sure to visit your class page. Once there click on "Meet the Teacher" to learn about him or her. Your teacher's email and additional information about the class may also be found on this page.

(4) Enjoy your summer. We look forward to seeing you in August, bright-eyed and ready to take the next step into your future!

For those who applied, but were not selected for ROC: The selection process includes a variety of factors, but ultimately comes down to the number of available slots and your home school counselor's referral. Please know that many of our programs are impacted and your counselor may not have been able to fit you in. You still have several options, including (1) ask your home school counselor if you are (or can be) on the ROC waiting list, (2) contact ROC about openings in a different ROC program that still has openings, (3) consider taking a ROC summer class as we can sometimes pull students from those classes into fall classes should the program have openings.
