Pharmacy Technician students are being introduced to their first compounding lesson creating class made hand sanitizer. Students learned how to properly wash their hands before any compound. Students learned how dirty our hands can be if we do not wash our hands properly using a black light to detect any left behind germs. After students properly wash their hands prior to donning gloves, students are ready to compound! The class learned how to use a cylinder to measure ingredients in milliliters and how to mix all needed properties to create hand sanitizer. Students are currently creating a classroom club to discuss details on selling our compounded product to the rest of ROC.
