Skills Olympics

560 ROC students, over half the current student body, competed in the 20th annual ROC Olympics, held throughout the ROC campus Friday, May 12, 2017.

Participating students contended for the gold medal within their specific program area. Events ranged from written exams to skills performance demonstrations to oral presentations. As always, ROC's wonderful network of community business leaders acted as judges for the various activities.

Opening ceremonies included remarks by KHSD assistant superintendent and former ROC principal Dr. Dean McGee

At the end of the day's competition rounds, judges, students, and teachers alike made their way to the Kern Ag Pavilion for the awards ceremony and BBQ. Gold, silver, and bronze medals were presented to the top finishers in each program area.
