ROC CTEC Ambassadors recently kicked off their leadership training with a visit to the California State University, Bakersfield Challenge Course. The experience provided student ambassadors with a hands-on opportunity to develop essential leadership skills in a dynamic, team-based environment.
Throughout the course, students worked through a series of collaborative challenges designed to strengthen communication, problem-solving, and resilience. Each activity encouraged students to step outside of their comfort zones, rely on teamwork, and adapt to new situations—key qualities of effective student leaders.
The Challenge Course experience also helped students build confidence as they learned to support one another, take initiative, and reflect on their leadership styles. These skills will play an important role as ambassadors represent ROC CTEC, support campus events, and serve as leaders among their peers.
ROC CTEC extends its appreciation to California State University, Bakersfield for hosting the ambassadors and providing an engaging environment for leadership development. Experiences like this reinforce ROC CTEC’s commitment to preparing students not only for careers, but also for leadership and success beyond the classroom.
