TehachaPod Features CTEC Student Experience Through Kern Intern Connections

ROC CTEC students are gaining real-world experiences that extend beyond the classroom, and one of those stories was recently highlighted on TehachaPod, a Tehachapi-based podcast.

The episode explores opportunities provided through the Kern Economic Development Foundation’s Kern Intern Connections (KIC) program. Guests included Richard Chapman, Executive Director of KEDF, and Jennifer Van Alstein of Adaptive Networks, who shared insights on how internships connect students with local employers.

A special highlight of the episode features Priscilla Calderon, a Class of 2025 student from ROC CTEC’s Digital Marketing & Media Design program. Priscilla currently serves as a Community Engagement Intern and shared how the KIC program connected her with the City of Tehachapi, providing her with valuable hands-on experience in her field of interest.

The podcast itself was even produced by a 2025 graduate of the Digital Marketing program, showcasing the skills and talent of ROC CTEC students.
