CTEC Students Step Up for the Great Kindness Challenge

The Kindness Club and Video Production program at CTEC joined forces to spread kindness across campus, as part of the 2022 global Kindness Challenge.

Students created sixty-second public service announcements (PSAs) encouraging others to participate in kind acts, while the Kindness Club spread happiness through a “post-it exchange”, where positive messages were shared with others.

The students came together for a viewing party and competition, where the top three PSAs in the AM and PM classes were honored and awarded prizes (click on photos to enlarge).

“This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their writing, shooting, and editing skills, while producing a video they can share with their peers, promoting all types of kindness. They really enjoyed the assignment.” - Lisa Krch, Video Production Instructor, CTEC

Paulene Dela Cruz wrote a song for her PSA, and won 1st place in the AM class, for her creative efforts.

“I just approached this like a normal assignment, but I was very pleased with the way it came out. When I heard that I won, I was very happy and proud and look forward to sharing the video with my friends and family.” - Paulene Dela Cruz, AM Video Production Student
