Early Childhood Education

Location: ROC
STUDENT/PARENT NOTIFICATION:

During second semester, eligible students will have an opportunity to be placed in a Community Classroom (non-paid internship) at school sites in grades preschool through kindergarten. Students must have tuberculosis clearance which is less than 6-months old, current MMR, and Pertussis immunizations before placement can occur. The majority of our Community Classroom partners for this program are currently requiring our students to be vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to being placed at their site. If we have Community Classroom partners that will accept a weekly COVID-19 testing regimen in lieu of being vaccinated, then unvaccinated students will be given the option to do weekly testing at ROC. If there are no employers available that will allow unvaccinated students at their sites, then the student may need to find an alternative educational placement for the second semester.
