Program Description

The Digital Marketing & Media Design program will help students understand target audiences, how to reach them and persuade them by using content creation tools like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and pushing it to social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. This program will take students through all the introductory levels and help them explore avenues on how to build a brand story from the ground up using digital marketing, graphic design and social media skills. Students will develop the skills to pursue careers in digital marketing, social media management, branding, graphic design and/or content creation.

 

Students will gain an understanding of foundational concepts of design and marketing by creating and participating on practical hands-on projects. All this will be accomplished through coursework, practical training, internships, community classroom and competitions. The first semester will focus on learning the software and training and the second semester is focused on community classroom internships. Students will have the chance to participate in competitions, events, and attend field trips related to the program during the school year.

HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT AVAILABLE

Students will earn 15 units each semester toward their high school graduation.

College prep course.  A-G approved.  Meets area “F” approval for UC and CSU admissions.
